Keeping Your Community Safe

Established 37 years ago, in April of 1978, Durango Crime Stoppers was the first Crime Stoppers organization in Colorado.  It was fashioned after a Crime Stoppers organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Durango-La Plata Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.
